Sabotage

I called a very hot girl who's number I got.

I called. She said, "Hello?" I said, "[her name]?"

She hung-up.

No joke. Called again and left a message.

CHUMP. Will analyze later. But talk about self-sabotage: from the very first word. And I haven't even described the message I left. Wow. Let's just repeat one line,

"I somehow convinced you to give me your number..." No joke. That is not joke. That is fucking VERBATIM.

Sabotage. But what's behind it?

What you should have said: "X you must have hung up because you don't feel worthy of talking to me. Let me assure you I'm willing to lower my standards and speak to you. Call me. Prof."

For the record I don't think that "I somehow convinced you to give me your number is bad." As long as you follow it up with "Actually, I can't blame you I'm incredibly handsome and witty. Some people say I'm arrogant but they're just haters."
